S.M.A.R.T Goals

 S.M.A.R.T Goals

On Tuesday we made goals that we have to reach by the end of the term. We have made goals for Reading, Writing, Maths and other goals like run for a long time without stopping or trying to get better at a sport or something. These are my goals for the term.

What Do S.M.A.R.T Goals mean. The S for S.M.A.R.T Goals means Specific so when you tell someone your goal make it more specific. Instead of saying like I want to get better at my writing make it better and say something like I want to be able to make my writing more interesting and use punctuation or something. The M for S.M.A.R.T Goals stands for Measurable Can your goals be measured. If you say you want to get better at soccer or something you won't know what that looks like but if you say you want to get a certain amount of goals or a certain amount of try's you will know what that looks like. The A for S.M.A.R.T Goals stands for Attainable. Can you physically achieve these goals so can you actually do these goals? they have to be possible to do they cant be impossible otherwise there are no goals to achieve. The R for S.M.A.R.T Goals stands for Realistic Don't make a goal that will discourage you from trying to achieve it. The T for S.M.A.R.T Goals stands for Time. Does your goal have a start date and a finish date?

Tumahana Trip

The Tumahana Trip

On Monday Takitini was able to go on a trip to the Christchurch town hall to see a show called Tumahana. In the show, there were actors, there was a Narrator that told the story, There was the Christchurch orchestra that was playing some dramatic music. The story had some of the Maori gods. They had these silks and there was a hula hoop that was hanging from this metal thing and there were these ropes.

The Stage

Reflection: The show was really awesome and I really want to go to that show again if they are going to do it.

A Little Bit Of The Story: So at the start, Ranginui met Papatuanuku and they had babies after Ranginui left Papatuanuku met Tāwhirimātea and they also had children but then Tāwhirimātea left and moved on but Ranginui saw and he was furious. Ranginui found Tāwhirimātea and they had a battle. After the battle Ranginui was victorious.

Tough Kids

Last Thursday we went to Tough kids there were a lot of kids there. The seniors went on one bus and the Juniors were on another bus when we got there I saw like ten schools there it was a lot of fun because there was music and there were other people dressing up. Some people got a white band because they were dressed up. The white bands were raffle tickets we had to wait a long time until it was our turn to run. We had to wait for all the other schools to go before we do. When it was our turn we gapped it and everyone ran as fast as they could. After we did tough kids we went to the beach to play in the water. The people taught us what to do when we are stuck in a tide. after we did our lesson we got to go down and play on the beach it was so cold we played in there for about 30 minutes it was fun. After that, we got dressed and we went back to school.
